The retreat includes three nights at El Fenn and there’s also the option to extend the experience to five nights including a two-day stay at Scarabeo luxury camp in the Agafay Desert.
YOUR RETREAT ITINERARY
Day 1
Arrive at your leisure before gathering together for sunset cocktails on the El Fenn rooftop. Our mixology team will be on hand to share some tips on how to create delicious cocktails before you sit down for a delicious Moroccan feast.
Day 2
Every morning of this retreat starts with a guided meditation followed by a spiritual workshop. This morning you’ll do heart centre work before breakfast and a tour of the Majorelle Garden and Yves Saint Laurent Museum. Then it’s back to El Fenn for lunch and an afternoon of relaxation. Have a hammam, explore the medina or curl up with a book and cup of mint tea. Later enjoy a cocktail and dinner at Safran by Koya – delicious Moroccan and Mediterranean fusion food is accompanied by a live show.
Day 3
This morning’s meditation will be followed by a rebalancing workshop before breakfast in the sun. Then you’ll head into the medina with a female guide for a tour of the Marrakech Museum and some shopping time. Lunch will be at L’Mida, where executive chef Narjisse Benkabbou has given traditional tastes a modern spin. The afternoon is yours to spend as you wish before you’re picked up by horse drawn carriages at sunset and taken to dinner at Le Comptoir Darna – a Marrakech institution where dinner comes with a show of belly and candle dancers.
Day 4
Your morning meditation will be followed by an immersive – and healing – sound bath. After breakfast, you’ll visit a five-star spa for a traditional hammam and massage. Lunch is back at El Fenn and, if you’ve opted for the three-night retreat, you’ll then be free to either catch your flight home. Participants in the five-night retreat will leave for the stunning Agafay Desert. Just 30 minutes from Marrakech, its dramatic landscape provides a perfect backdrop to the luxury Scarabeo desert camp. There you’ll be welcomed by a traditional tea ceremony before a sunset camel ride and dinner. During your two days at Scarabeo, you’ll be able to book at least one hour of 1-2-1 time with a holistic healer who does work such as reiki, crystal therapy and personalised sound healing.
Think meditation, sound healing, Moroccan beauty rituals, combined with trips to fashion museums and the ancient medina, topped off with the finest food and star-gazing in the desert.

All our rooms feature our signature blend of traditional Moroccan artisanal decoration meets a mix of vintage and contemporary furniture and art from the El Fenn private collection. Colour-soaked and playful, each one is unique. You’ll also have access to our three swimming pools and gorgeous spa if you want to book some extra treatments. At Scarabeo Camp, luxury tented 10m x 5m suites include a cozy lounge area, writing desk, and private terrace. For added warmth, there’s a wood stove. The suite also has an en-suite shower room.

The program on day one of the retreat starts at 6pm with a welcome blessing ceremony followed by a mixology workshop and dinner so you either need to arrive by mid-afternoon or the day before.

Absolutely! If you want to arrive the day before the retreat starts – or stay on for a night or two afterwards to explore Marrakech a bit more then we’ll be offering retreat attendees a 15% discount on our best rates.
Gorgeous. The average temperature in November is 23C so think blue skies and sunshine by day. There is an outside chance of rain though so bear that in mind. It’s also wise to layer up because the nights at this time of year are cooler and even during the day you’ll be moving between the heat of the sun to cooler inside spaces.
Bring comfortable clothes to wear in the day that are suitable for everything from meditation to discovering the medina. Then it’s all about a bit of glitz and glamour for evening. November nights can get cold so while fires will be lit and bedrooms cosy, you’ll need some extra layers to wrap up particularly if you’re outside.
This retreat has been designed specifically for rest & relaxation which means that there will be free time each afternoon for you to unwind.
Booking is via the IAM Retreat website. You will be required to pay 50% deposit to secure your place.
You may cancel at anytime up to 8 weeks before and receive your deposit back minus 5% administration fee. If you cancel within 8 weeks (after 26th September) we are unable to refund your deposit.
