In the morning, your guide will take you to meet the artisans who still work today using techniques developed centuries ago. Wandering the tiny souk streets, you’ll be able to see them handcraft anything from wood to metal.

Then it’s back to El Fenn for lunch where you’ll relax over our daily changing seasonal menu of salads, meat or fish and delicious dessert.

In the afternoon, you’ll go back out with your guide to see some key historical sites. The ancient school Ben Youssef Medersa is a masterclass in the geometry and textural layering of classic Arabic design. Then you can choose to visit one of three other key historical places: the Museum of Confluences, which examines Morocco’s fascinating cultural history; the Secret Garden, a restored nineteenth-century palace with gardens laid out in classical Arabic style; or the Museum of Photography, which houses a permanent collection of photographs of Morocco taken between 1870 and 1960 and offers a fascinating insight into traditional life.
