Top 5 Swimming Pools in Marrakech
It’s spring which means long sunny days that are perfect for sunbathing. Here’s our pick of the top 5 pools to rest, relax and spend a sun-filled day. Then head back to El Fenn for a cocktail – or two – on our rooftop.
EL FENN
Pools are hard in short supply in the medina but we’ve got three – and the one on our rooftop has sweeping views over the rooftops of Marrakech to the Atlas Mountains beyond. All this plus our terrace restaurant and cocktail bar.
BELDI COUNTRY CLUB
The Beldi pool is set in a beautiful olive grove and loved by Marrekchis who lunch there before snoozing in the shade. There’s also a small complex of shops, a spa and gorgeous gardens. You can easily spend a day here pottering around in between sunshine and swimming.
FARASHA FARMHOUSE
The location of Farasha Farmhouse is traditionally rural, but the styling and hospitality are cutting edge. And their 50-metre pool provides a drop the mic moment. Go for the day to laze on a sunbed (with a Yeti coolbox packed with kombucha, juices and rose delivered poolside) before having lunch on the terrace.
FAIRMONT ROYAL PALM
The Fairmont pool is 2000sqm and it’s backdropped by views of the Atlas Mountains. Stunning. Lunch on the terrace is a stylish affair and dishes include cerviche, salads and salt-crusted sea bream. Wash it all down with a glass or two and you’ve got the perfect pool day.
