‘Queen of Colour’ and interiors expert Sophie Robinson takes a deep dive into colour and design inspiration at El Fenn. Her third retreat will take place in January with more details  of further retreats coming soon. 

We’re excited to be launching a new series of curated weekends that are running throughout 2025. And the first will focus on art because it’s always been at the core of what we do.

Our three-night Curated Art Weekend will mix up gallery and exhibition visits with dinners, talks and tours. And your host will be El Fenn co-owner Vanessa Branson. Part guided, part self-guided, you’ll have the chance to get inspired with a small group of people as passionate as you are about art.

‘I can’t wait to introduce people to the exciting art scene here in Marrakech. The creative energy in Africa is unique and this weekend will offer a chance for people to really experience it all,’ says Vanessa.

Interiors expert, TV presenter and podcast host Sophie Robinson hosted a sell out event at El Fenn in 2020. Now she’s back for a three-day ‘Discover Colour’ Retreat. In a series of mini workshops, Sophie will be teaching you about all things colour. We’ll also be opening up our little black book of the city’s best interiors addresses.Think artisans, modern makers and everything from vintage furniture to tiles, textiles and lighting. Plus, you’ll get a chance to meet the creative team behind El Fenn to find out how we put our look together and we’ll be sharing some of the city’s secret spots that we love most.

Our aim is to take you behind the scenes of Marrakech’s dynamic interiors scene and give you access to places and spaces that most visitors never see. “El Fenn is a dream for colour lovers,’ says Sophie. ‘But beyond its walls, there’s a city packed with creatives doing fascinating things. I always leave Marrakech feeling supercharged and I want to share that.’
