In Marrakech, she’ll be your guide to a city that has been inspiring designers, artists and style obsessives for decades. Together, you’ll explore the independent fashion scene, boutiques filled with one-off pieces, designers working with traditional techniques in new ways, and artisans whose skills have been passed down through generations. You’ll also meet the women behind one of our favourite embroidery collectives, keeping ancient craft traditions alive and very much thriving.
Back at El Fenn, we’ll be throwing open our little black book. Expect curated visits to designer ateliers, a session at the museum dedicated to the legendary Yves Saint Laurent, who famously found his greatest colour inspiration here, and a bespoke fashion and accessories souk hosted at the hotel, where our favourite makers come to you. It’s part market, part styling session, entirely magical.
Between all of this: a traditional hammam and massage, a perfume masterclass, dinner under the stars in the Agafay desert, and evenings at our pick of the city’s best restaurants including a gala dinner right here at El Fenn.
We’ve designed this retreat to give you real immersion in Moroccan culture, in the craft and creativity of its makers, and in your own sense of style. You’ll leave with a wardrobe full of pieces you genuinely love, a head full of inspiration, and very likely some new friends for life.

Prices start at €3,783 / £3,280 / $4,429 for a large room (joint occupancy, single occupancy available) and includes all meals – breakfast, lunch, pre-dinner cocktails and wine with dinner, all excursions and transport, plus airport transfers. Flights and travel insurance are not included.
YOUR RETREAT ITINERARY
Day 1
Check in to one of El Fenn’s gorgeous rooms at your leisure. Then, make your way down to the Colonnade Café to meet Denise along with your fellow guests. It’s the perfect time to chat and soak up the El Fenn interiors before lunch in the sunshine. From there, we’ll be heading straight into the medina for a guided tour to discover the city’s artisanal treasures. Dinner that night will be a Moroccan sharing feast where you’ll continue getting to know one another over incredible food and wine.
Day 2
After breakfast, you’ll head off to the Yves Saint Laurent museum to soak up some fashion history before having lunch at El Fenn. From there, we head into Medina’s Fashion Quarter. We’ll take you to our favourite independent boutiques and the ateliers championing the very best of Marrakech’s modern makers. After a day of discovery, it’s time to unwind before dinner at a private room in one of our favourite restaurants complete with some fabulous food and some great party vibes.
Day 3
Our morning is dedicated to Marrakech’s design district in Sidi Ghanem. You’ll discover the behind-the-scenes of the most innovative and creative independent studios in Marrakech. We’ll pause for lunch at a culinary hub that inspires social change before popping into a renowned Moroccan artist’s gallery. Then, we’ll return to El Fenn to freshen up for a very special evening. Enjoy dinner under the stars in the Agafay Desert where henna traditions and fortune tellers await.
Day 4
This morning, you’ll have a traditional Moroccan hammam and spa treatment in our tadelakt-lined steam room. After a leisurely rooftop lunch, we’ll transform one of our rooms into a styling souk lined with the very best of Moroccan fashion for a 1:1 session with Denise. From curating the right pieces to understanding how to wear them with confidence, it’s one of the most personal parts of the retreat. That evening, we’ll gather for our final celebration, the El Fenn Gala Dinner. A long, beautifully styled table, delicious food, flowing drinks and candlelight, styled by El Fenn’s creative director.
Day 5
Swap notes and numbers over breakfast before a final wrap-up with Denise as you reflect on an amazing few days. Then it’s either time to head to the airport – or stay on at El Fenn to soak up some more sunshine.

Photographer, author and founder of online boutique AndBloom, Denise Boomkens has built one of Instagram’s most celebrated communities around a simple but radical idea: that ageing unapologetically is something worth shouting about. Her 1.5 million followers come for the great style and stay for her warmth, honesty and genuine belief that mid-life is the perfect moment to find your fashion mojo, not lose it. The programme on day one starts with lunch at 1:30pm so either take an early flight and spend the morning by the pool or arrive by 12:30pm and we can pick you up from the airport and whisk you straight up to the rooftop terrace to meet Denise.

Absolutely! If you want to arrive the day before the retreat starts – or stay on for a night or two afterwards to explore Marrakech a bit more then let us know and we’ll provide you with the best rates available.
Gorgeous. It’s still warm in Marrakech during the beginning of November with average temperatures going up to 25-28C so think blue skies and sunshine. Bring light layers, some sunscreen and a jacket / light jumper just in case you need one for a colder evening.
Bring comfortable, light clothes to wear during the day because you’ll be doing some walking, swimwear in case you want to sit by the pool and a hat or sunglasses. For evening, it’s all about a bit of glitz and glamour. We’ll provide more clothing guidance in the retreat notes that are sent after you have booked.
Not much. The fashion retreat is pretty action packed because there’s so much we want to show you. Each day though, we’ve factored in 1.5-2 hours of downtime so that you can rest, have a hammam or just relax in the sun.
You can cancel anytime up to 8 weeks before the start date of the retreat to receive a refund of your deposit minus 5% administration fee.
