New Autumn Dinner Menu at El Fenn

Autumn is one of our favourite seasons. After the height of summer, it’s time to start lighting open wood fires on cooler evenings and drench the restaurant in candlelight.

Then there are the seasonal ingredients.

And, as ever, they’re at the heart of the new autumn dinner menu we’ve created in collaboration with our network of local growers and small producers.

About 80% of our food comes from within a 60km radius of Marrakech. And the rest? We source the best ingredients from across Morocco to harness the tastes and flavours of this beautiful country.

Because great food is all about exceptional ingredients after all.

Our new autumn menu features ingredients such as walnuts from Tazarine and seafood from the pristine Atlantic waters of Oualidia, mushrooms foraged in the Atlas Mountains and saffron cultivated in the sun-drenched fields of Taliouine.

Seafood takes centre stage in plates including lobster ravioli with yuzu-infused cream and sea bream ceviche marinated in lemon, ginger and coriander. There’s also a red tuna tartare with avocado, tomato and apple, plus a sea bass mille feuille with spinach and leek.

Meats include lamb and chicken for dishes such as chicken, olive and preserved lemon spring rolls or Wellington-style lamb noisette with wild mushrooms. There are also plant-based dishes such as locally grown fennel, with an almond pesto, honey and walnuts, smoked butternut squash with chickpeas, mushrooms and feta, as well as risotto-style mhemssa with porcini.

In all our dishes, the El Fenn chefs are looking to interpret the traditionally delicate flavours of Moroccan cuisine in new ways. For autumn 2024, desserts include saffron-infused creme brulee, chocolate and caramel fondant with amlou ice cream and a coffee tiramisu with noss noss ice cream.

We serve dinner on our rooftop every evening from 7pm and you can book a table here. Or pop in for lunch with a daily-changing menu that includes five fresh Moroccan salads, grilled meat or fish and a dessert.
